Nursing Jurisprudence and Ethics for Texas Nurses

In 2014, the Texas Board of Nursing announced a requirement that all nurses with a license in Texas will take a 2 CE course on Nursing Jurisprudence and Ethics. This course meets the educational requirements set forth by the Texas Board of Nursing. This course will inform nurses about:
• The Texas Nurse Practice Act and Board of Nursing (BON) Rules, including Board Rule 217.11, Standards of Nursing Practice
• Texas BON Position Statements
• Principles of nursing ethics
• Professional boundaries
